In my Technology in Fashion Merchandising class, where I learned Photoshop, we were tasked to create a line sheet for an athletic wear brand of our choice, while also having a historical meaning behind it. We used tech flats to create our designs and patterns on Photoshop.

The historical meaning I chose to base my project on was the flappers of the 1920s. I chose Athleta because of it being a female-focused brand and showcasing girlhood and female empowerment. From here, I made my mood board and created a color palette from it along with designs/symbols that showcased the flappers. Next, I took inspiration from these symbols and created my tech flats and patterns. I also used Athleta’s website to help me determine fabrics and textiles that were used for each garment along with sizes and prices to maintain accuracy of the brand. Lastly, I determined names for each pattern and set a delivery date based on the season that it was for.
outcome
From this assignment, I got to learn all about line sheets and even roleplay making one of my own. I also learned a lot about Photoshop and how important attention to detail with Photoshop is. While there are a few things I could approve on within this project, for it being one of my first fashion projects, I am proud of it.
