In my merchandising portfolio class, we were tasked to create a process book including gaps, strengths, career goals, etc. that capture what we want to do in the future and how we will take steps to get there.

This project consisted about the whole semester and was separated into parts so that we didn’t have to scramble to complete it, which I liked. I started by taking some personality tests that can help a recruiter determine my personality and how that fits into the job. I then started to research locations and jobs that I believe I can see myself at. Next, I considered some gaps that I may have and compared the role I see myself in to professionals on LinkedIn who have that similar job, this helped me examine what gaps I have. Lastly, I finished this process book by determining my long term goal and creating moodboards and a color story that showcase my dreams.
outcome
This assignment taught me a lot about myself and where I need to improve. As a junior, about to be a senior, I need to know where I have gaps and what I need to improve on in order to move forward with what I want to do. I was able to research different jobs and compare and narrow down which seem most interesting to me.
